The air was cool & sweaters were donned, as we strolled down the railroad tracks for a short walk into the sunset.  Deep in lively conversation, we were suddenly startled by a voice.  Off of another trail someone was looking for directions.  We stopped to help, and quickly learned we had fun commonalities.  Our short evening walk became much longer than anticipated by this random encounter with a new railroad friend.  Eventually, we showed him the start of the trail he was looking for, and exchanged contact information.  All of this was sparked by a book that I was reading at the time of meeting, “Before Happiness.”  My new RR friend is friends with the author, Shawn Achor.  Being open to connections through random meetings, and being passionate about reading and learning, has sparked a new friendship.
I’m sure most of us can share similar stories of connection and friendship.  We are all connected in some way, not only with other human beings, but also with our natural world.  The changing species of birds at the feeders and the chattering of the squirrels in the pine tree, remind us that a new season is in full swing.  The downed trees in the rivers remind us of the past flood.  And, the people that we pass by and exchange a smile, spreads happiness.  But, have you ever thought of a book connecting people and sparking friendships outside of a book club? 


During Wellness Coaching, I often recommend books that might help my clients to understand themselves or concepts that they are working on a little bit better. Books are fantastic resources for learning and connecting with yourself and others. The style of coaching that I offer is fitness based, which then opens the door for deeper conversations about healthy lifestyle habits...and starting your transformation at the place you are most interested in...completely customized programs based upon your needs. Lifestyle habit change does not happen overnight. It takes small changes that add up over time. If you attempt to change too many things at one time, you are bound to fail. If you start with one small change, you are more likely to keep the habit. Healthy habits, especially exercise, are the most difficult habits to start & keep, and as stated in "The Power of Habit" book by Charles Duhigg, it can take up to a year to become a true habit. This might sound overwhelming for some, but that is what I am here for. To help coach you through, create a realistically customized program for you, & be your cheerleader, so that you can make long-lasting healthy habits.

I believe that I have referenced researcher, BJ Fogg before, but in his Tedx Talk he shares the research behind my style of wellness coaching. Small behavior changes at a time, truly add up to significant changes. This research, both written and spoken is great, but the big reason that I use the style of coaching that I do, is because of the work that I have done with all of my clients, both young and old since 1997 when I started working with people in the fitness, health and Physical Therapy fields. I have had numerous compliments over the years about my "bed-side" manners, my ability to connect with clients, and how I make big hurdles seem like small ant hills. I appreciate these words of gratitude from clients, and it has motivated me to try and build a Wellness Coaching business around healthy lifestyle habit formation...knowing you do not need a gym to be healthy...and truly asking clients to dig deep to find their own unique definition of health and "why." And, perhaps, if the conversations end up at a place where I believe a book can help with understanding, &/or looking at the concept from a different perspective, then I will happily recommend a book. And, maybe then, you too will randomly connect with another person over conversations surrounding the book or author. :)

Spreading Wellness: What do you do in a pinch?

Twas the night before blog-day, and throughout my brain,
every neuron was firing, and going insane.
The computer sat open, using up watts,
in hopes that my fingers would type out my thoughts.

But, up in my bean, for once in my life,
there was nothing, simply nothing, oh what a strife!

So instead, in honor of the season,
I realized there simply just must be a reason,
that my neurotic brain has nothing to say,
I best bid the computer to have a good-day.

Thinking that this morning my neurons would flood,
with ideas to share with my readers, ah crud!

Still nothing worth writing,
there is no use fighting.
So I'm giving it a little break,
instead of making my head ache.

But I hear the bean shouting, as I type out this row,
Happy Holidays to all, and to all, let's think SNOW!

Spreading Wellness: Does your plan have you feeling a bit uncomfortable?

As New Year’s approaches, you may have expected a blog about resolutions, goals, inspiration for getting started, and how to make it reality. Well, I am here to meet your expectations. J

Pause for a moment. Recall a time in your life when you made a life changing decision. Maybe it was deciding to go to college. Maybe it was deciding to purchase your first home. Maybe it was deciding to have your first child. Think about it....

How did it make you feel? Were you a little uncomfortable? Can you remember where you were when you made those decisions? Did you have a support network to discuss the pros and cons with?

What was your next step? Most likely, after you made the final decision, you then proceeded to make a plan. Once your plan was in place, you moved forward. 

New Year's resolutions and healthy habit formation goals require the same approach. Usually you need a support network. If they are truly new habits you are forming, they likely make you a little bit uncomfortable. You need to create a plan in order to move forward successfully. And finally, you need to act upon the plan. Although the action step is the most difficult, it is a very important piece to accomplishing a new healthy habit.

It sounds simple, right? But, we all know it isn’t easy. How do we make this simple task easier to accomplish? Since your first step is knowing you want to go somewhere, maybe your second step should be knowing that where you are going is realistic. Last year about this time I shared an article on resolutions by Kelly McGonigal. There are times in life when re-reading the same information is important, and I feel that this is one of those times. If you were following my blog last year, refresh your memory and re-read this well written article. If you are new to my blog, read Kelly's insights on how to create realistic goals, and then pause to consider how you can do this in your life. She is a psychologist from Stanford University, and I really respect her knowledge and perspectives.

Spreading Wellness: Have you experienced increased happiness from volunteering?

Yes, this morning, which is why this blog is going
 out a little bit late. Can you please forgive the
tardiness this week? :) Thank you, friends and followers.
At 3:44 a.m., my eyes opened. One minute before the expectant, "Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding" chimed on my phone to let me know it was time to get out of bed. A much different way to start my day. Sometimes my alarm goes off at 4:30 so I can get out for a run, but 3:44 is, well, wow, it just seems like hours earlier. But, I'm not complaining. My body was ready to move, my brain was just a bit slower to start working. By 4:30 a.m., a group of us were at the WDIO-TV news station, ready for instructions on taking donations live, in the studio. :) It really was a great way to start the day. Superior Rotary Club #40 had a match going on from 5-7 a.m., and there were some local donors who took advantage of that. But the real star of the day was, The Second Harvest Food Bank (there is a link to volunteer on their home page). We were all there to help raise money and awareness for this amazing organization who offers meals to our local community. Their Executive Director, Shaye Moris, told us this morning that a $1 donation can provide 5 meals. Every dollar counts! Great work, Second Harvest Food Bank. You can make your donation online by clicking HERE. I have to say, by 7 a.m. when our shift was over, my brain was smiling. It just took my a little bit to wake up. :)

Volunteering and donating are 2 often overlooked items on your wellness plans. They both improve happiness. Along with other benefits, WebMD says that volunteering can help lower levels of depression, increase life satisfaction, and enhance well-being. Wow! That is amazing! All from helping others. :) Are they in your plan?

E3 Twin Ports, LLC truly believes in community service and giving back, which is why I signed up to volunteer for the Second Harvest Food Bank this morning at WDIO-TV. I encourage you to experience this yourself, if you haven't already. I also encourage you to involve your young children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends to get out and volunteer. Our family has made it an annual tradition to volunteer at the DECC over Thanksgiving, and the smile on our little ones face as she took charge of her station is a memory that her Dad and I will always remember. It truly made a positive impact on her life, and we know that she will continue this spirit of volunteering into her adult life. Yes, her smile illuminated the happiness that it brought to her.

Spreading Wellness: How well do you sleep?

Tossing and turning, turning and tossing. Watching the hours on the clock, hearing snores coming from the family, and me, eyes wide open, unable to sleep. Kicking myself for drinking the amazing "coffee treat" that I had mid-day. As I was enjoying it, there was a little voice in my head telling me that I shouldn't....especially since I didn't have any fitness planned for the day. It was a day set aside to enjoy with family and visitors. Usually, I'm an early to bed and early to rise sort of girl, but not this night. It was another reminder that maybe I should listen to the little voices in my head. Sleep is too important for my health to compromise it...

How do you sleep? Do you know what helps you to sleep better? Do you know what compromises your sleep? Have you ever tuned into your sleep patterns? Have you allowed your body to get into a natural rhythm? Sleep is extremely important for your health. According to WebMD, healthy sleep leads to better weight control, mood, lower risk of injury, better memory, and more. So how do you improve your sleep? Exercise is one way, and according to the National Wildlife Federation, children sleep better if they play outside...and I personally believe that must be true for adults too.

With New Years around the corner, people are beginning to think about their New Years resolutions...and I hope that I can help people to push beyond the 2 week to 1 month attempt at keeping them. Just like exercise takes a long time to create it into a habit, according to Psychology Today, the benefits of exercise on sleep can also take a while. So stay focused, and keep trying. And, take an E3 class to learn about creating healthy habits, if you have questions or would like to learn more.

Now I ask you, how well do you sleep? If you answer, "not very well." Then, E3 (Energy and Empowerment through Exercise) is here to help. Starting in January we have 2 outdoor programs open for Women...one snowshoe class (including education on women's health, one topic being sleep), and one intermediate fitness winter sampler (which also includes women's health education). For those who are not ready to play outside in the winter, we are also offering 2 different Yoga classes. Enlightened Yoga and Oils at Avalon Educational Center on Monday evenings (8 week class that combines essential oils, meditation, chakras and yoga) and Yoga at the Fairlawn Mansion (7 weeks, includes 7 punch pass, 4 punch pass and drop-in rates). Spreading Wellness: What routine job brings you joy?

The weather was shifting to the north, the cold winds were here, and Thanksgiving is just around the corner...it was a fantastic time to spend the evening doing family crafts, and reflecting on what we are grateful for. I try to instill the holistic health habits that I teach, into my family as well. Every now and again, we sit down and talk about "us" as a family, what we are grateful for in general, and what we are grateful for in each individual. It is a fantastic practice, and I do believe it strengthens us as a family. I have read a lot about the benefits of regular gratitude journaling (click here), but sometimes with a family it is hard to get it in on a daily basis...however, I have felt the benefits of occasional gratitude.

Recently, I ran across an article sharing the relational benefits of feeling gratitude, and it wasn't dependent upon a daily occurrence. Yay! I love when researchers take the time to research ideas that are more realistic for people...such as occasional expressions of gratitude. Although this wasn't about families, long-term relationships were still improved (click here to read more). When we asked our little one what she was grateful for about her Daddy and I, my heart and love bucket was filled. I have always known that I am a passionate teacher, and I have believed that I am a very good teacher...this fall a former student sought me out at a community event, and then introduced me to his father. To me, that is the ultimate compliment, when a college student introduces his teacher to one of his parents....and when clients tell me that they went out hiking with a headlamp because of my classes, something they wouldn't have done on their own before joining my classes...but to hear that one of the things that my little girl is most grateful about me is "teaching me," my heart filled with joy. This ordinary family time of making holiday crafts turned into a true gratitude bonding time. At the young age of 7, she has seen my most inner-self, a teacher, and she is grateful for it. 

Yes, this is a piece of my identity, and I want to share this love of teaching with all of my clients in 2016. I want to help you lead the life that you imagine, healthy, happy, and meaningful. I want to help teach you about women's health and wellness, and how to use the outdoors to help balance your life. I want my January and February classes to fill, so that this "ordinary job" can be turned into "Joy!" My heart is filled with joy when I can help others, and my dream is to help create a healthier and more united community through E3.

Spreading Wellness: How do you lose yourself?

Sunny with a cool, crisp breeze off of the Big Lake. Dressed in a scarf and winter hat, and carrying a bag, my awesome little girl and I frolicked and raced along the sandy shores of Lake Superior. This was the second piece in our Holiday craft making endeavor. The first was deciding what to make. :) Yes, it was a craft making endeavor that would take us the entire day. We decided upon driftwood trees, and anything else our imagination could think of. After finding a 'pumpkin,' an 'L,' and a small square block we turned around. When we got home, she asked me if I saw what she had drawn in the sand...and I hadn't...apparently, I lost myself while looking through piles of driftwood for unique pieces, and she lost herself when she found a 'pen' and was drawing in the sand. Neither one of us thought to share what we most enjoyed, until we got home and were looking through our treasures.

Collecting driftwood is a wonderful way to immerse in nature,
slowing down, and observing the amazing pieces of natural art.
Simple. Fun. That is what I'm about teaching our little one. Valuing nature. Losing ourselves in the simple joys in life. Finding more value in the simple homemade gifts, than in the ones that you buy at a store. Creating with love. This energy brought us much more than either of us had initially imagined. After her Daddy finished with work, he joined in the fun, and taught her the basics of wood carving. She carved a little heart in the block of wood that she had played with all day. A happy sigh. Heart Smiling. It was a great day!

Nature walks, walks along the beach, meditating, and imaginative play all have fantastic health benefits for children and adults. There is much research in this area, and I have plans to create a study using wilderness immersion with a variety of unique groups, of all ages. As I immerse in my daily cycle of nature, reading research, & deepening connections with organizations, my brain spins with ideas. Bridging the Adventure Gap has been on my mind a lot...the idea that Duluthians have for giving everyone an opportunity to partake in outdoor recreation activities. Positive thoughts for this initiative and being able to program for these sort of initiatives and organizations...and perhaps conduct some organic research while doing it. The scientist in me, still dreams of ways to gather more data to support the impacts of movement in nature...and I know that E3 will succeed with this vision eventually. Driftwood projects for the holidays. A fun multi-step process.
Where can you look for great scientific information on the health benefits of nature?
Western Australia has a great article listing the benefits of outdoor play for children, and although the list of benefits is extensive, I think there are even more benefits. NC State University also put out a nice list of "why outdoor play for children." And, adults? How does nature help us? This list could be extravagant, and I found a fantastically scientific list on a website that I'd never think to look for health advice for children and adults...check out this list from the American Society of Landscape Architects. :)

So why should I geek out about research surrounding the benefits of outdoor play and movement? That is the basis of E3 (Energy and Empowerment through Exercise - and education, outdoors). All of our programs are based on scientific research, from the way that programming is set up, to the educational information that is presented on each outing.

After a weekend of fun in the sun, the clouds became thick, and the rain came...and she continued to play with her sticks, while playing school with invisible students...totally lost in her own world, content and happy. The ultimate heart smile happened when the little one asked at the end of the day, "Don't I have a good imagination?!" :) "Yes," I said. "You sure do, and I love it!"

So now I ask you, How do you lose yourself? Do you lose yourself in nature or crafting? Hobbies are a great way to stay in tune with your emotional wellness. Immersing yourself in nature can have health benefits across the entire wellness field.

February 24 through 26, 2016. Winter Women's Wellness Retreat - Dust off your downhill skis, cross-country skis, and your snowshoes, and experience the magic of winter at the Lodge at Giants Ridge! Registration will open Friday, November 20th. A Black Friday sale will run through 11:59 p.m. on Friday, November 27th, 2015. There will be yoga, fitness dance, skiing, food & women's health presentations. The Lodge has a variety of sized condominiums, that fit anywhere from 2-12 people, so gather your friends, and watch for more information, being sure to take advantage of the Early Bird, Black Friday special! This is sure to be a great girlfriends getaway! :)

Now there are no excuses to stay inside this winter, curled up on the couch. Oh yes, you can do that when you return from a wonderful winter outing or yoga class. :) I look forward to meeting you.

Spreading Wellness: What is your weather related outdoor story?

NOTE: Blogger is not allowing proper formatting...sorry for the strange centering of this blog. E3 will be switching over to WordPress at some point...

What?! The "S" word? Yes, it is in the forecast. Duluth has been blessed with an absolutely amazing summer and fall, but inevitably, winter is coming. Yes, we might as well embrace the fact, and get out to enjoy the winter outdoor options. :)

Have you heard people complain about the weather? It is too cold, rainy, snowy,...I need to shovel...the wind is awful...and more. Yes, I certainly have done my fair share of complaining about the weather, but I really do my best to embrace whatever season is here. The most difficult thing for me personally, is when the sun doesn't shine, and we have heavy pressure changes. Although it is more difficult to get outside when it is cloudy, rainy, not necessarily your ideal weather, that is when it is even more important to get outside. Seasonal Affective Disorder and the Winter Blues are real. Fresh air helps us to sleep, to keep our mood up (link external about SAD, from the Chopra Center), and sometimes, when we commit to a group fitness class, or friends gathering, not only will it help our social health, it is sometimes the motivation that we need to get outside and embrace whatever nature has in store for us to enjoy the physical health benefits too. What is better yet? Our E3 classes combine 4 of the tips for helping to 'combat' the blues. Get Outside, Get Exercise, Connect with others, and Eat Clean. Our 6 week programs for women are outdoor, group (connect) experiences/exercise, and typically the participants want at least one educational lesson to be about food, healthy eating and nutrition. :) Yes, a lot of thought (and science) was put into our programming.

Speaking about embracing the weather:
This summer I took 2 of my nephews to the Boundary Waters for a 2 night canoe trip. They had never been there before, but had heard their uncle sharing stories of crazy waves, portaging through rain, and the wilderness in general. They asked me to take them out, and I was stoked! :) Plus, we had such an amazing summer, I was excited to take them out in ideal conditions. We had a short loop planned, starting from Sawbill Outfitters, and when we reached the shores, the weather looked...well...less than ideal. But, we loaded up and found a campsite that was protected from the wind. The boys wanted to fish, and try a portage. We did get out fishing in a little cove before the wind started picking up. And, needless to say (as you can see in the photo), it poured...and due to safety reasons (including hypothermia potential, from cold temps, high winds, and soaked...everything. Yes, the rain was so heavy for 8-10 solid hours that even our rain fly started leaking), we had to canoe out one day early. We did walk a portage, but didn't take the canoe over. To look on the bright side...not only do we tend to grow as individuals when put through adverse conditions, they too, have stories to share with their uncle about less than ideal canoe conditions. :) 

E3's Winter Programs (Energy and Empowerment through Exercise)
I am in the midst of creating 2 amazing yoga programs, 2 women's only outdoor recreation and education programs, and 1 magical winter women's retreat at the Lodge at Giants Ridge! I am also working with 2 personal wellness coaching clients, and increasing corporate connections. E3 has something for everyone! Maybe you are looking for a Holiday gift, and are wanting to give the gift of health instead of something that will sit on a shelf? Consider purchasing a package for your loved one, or sending the special woman in your life on a magical women's winter retreat. Maybe you are someone who gets yourself something special around the holidays (I certainly do)...consider one of our upcoming programs. :)

Look forward to:

Monday evening - Enlightened Yoga 8 week course, open to all. I will teach Yoga and Meditation. We will focus on a different chakra each week, while Shannon Flaherty teaches participants about the chakras and essential oils that can be used for each chakra meditation and yoga practice.

Tuesday evening - Women's Only Beginner/ Novice Fitness Level 6 week course. I will lead a snowshoe/hike (depending upon the snow levels), and teach about physical wellness, but the other 5 sessions will include an educational piece provided by a guest speaker. So far E3 has secured the following experts (dates yet to be determined)...Dick Haney (Environmental Wellness), Tiffany Kari (Spiritual Wellness), Kristina Polzin (Emotional Wellness), & Tony Macioce (Sleep and Health). This program is meant to help you get started on your journey to wellness. E3 believes that knowledge, understanding, and experiencing the benefits plays a vital role in making positive lifestyle choices. This program is sure to be fun and informative, plus, you'll be outside enjoying the winter beauty. :)

Wednesday evening - Women's Only Intermediate Fitness Level 6 week course. XC Ski, Snowshoe, and Fat Bike! Then have educational pieces surrounding women's health, and customized to the group requests. Jodi is working with Continental Ski & Bike, and a women leader from COGGS to pull off an amazing 6 week program! :)

Thursday evening - Yoga at the Fairlawn, open to all. 

Personal Wellness Coaching is available continuously. There is a FREE consultation, so don't be shy.

Corporate Wellness is available continuously as well. 

Coming February 24th - February 26th:
Winter Women's Wellness Retreat at the Lodge at Giant's Ridge - Yoga, Fitness Dance, Downhill ski (including lessons), XC Ski (including lessons), snowshoe, spa is available, outdoor campfire ring, and Women's Health Educational Presentations. Sure to be fun, and is open to all fitness and skill levels (from beginner to expert). So gather your friends, and watch for registration to open. Spreading Wellness: Who can you inspire today?

Mentors, Opportunity Makers, People who Inspire. Have you had a significant role model? Mentor? Or, a person who encouraged you to push your boundaries of comfort? Does that person(s) know that they made a positive impact in your life? Did you realize their impact at the time, or did that realization sneak up on you as you grew older (and wiser)? :) 

I have had dozens of amazing people in my life...mentors, people who've inspired me, people who've pushed me to be better, and I continue to seek out great mentors. I am passionate about surrounding myself with amazing and positive people, who together, we can help each other. Every day that I teach for E3 or at LSC, I learn something from my clients and students. I believe that everyone has something to teach and something to learn. Today, I'm sharing a story about a teacher who inspired me, but I didn't realize the impact until years later.

If you follow my blog on a regular basis, by now you know from my "Why" poem, that I experienced loss of a friend in a car accident, and had 2 friends battling cancer when I was in high school. Writing was one tool that I used to help comprehend my own feelings, and grief. Mr. Olson, my high school English teacher, challenged me to write my own poems in order to heal from life's events/losses.  As I reflect upon my journey, I realize how important his encouragement has been. At that time I didn't feel like I had meaningful thoughts to share with others, let alone, write poetry. I loved reading poetry, and it helped me to heal…but, write my own?! However, with his encouragement, I began writing my thoughts and feelings. He even allowed me to turn papers into him that were for my personal healing. Critiquing and encouraging me to continue, and my first poem was published in my senior year book...a poem about my dear friend who died in a car accident. I had people come up to me and tell me that I did a good job, and I was speechless and embarrassed. I felt vulnerable and proud all at the same time.
Early on, when I was still "practicing how to write poetry," and finding my personal style, I was able to reflect upon who I wanted to become, and what life meant to me. It came back to the simple words, "Live Happy, Dream Big, and Smile!" 

"Live Happy." Experiencing grief early in life, I realized that life is really short, so we might as well be happy. Laughter, peacefulness, happiness and having fun in all daily activities. That is what life is supposed to be about. Since we didn't know how long it would last, we might as well have fun. People always told me that I had a great smile. So I knew that my mantra needed the word "Smile." It was the one thing that connected others to myself. Being an extreme introvert, in a world of social beings, it was the one thing that kept me in a group. "Dream Big." Well, I loved to dream. It was dreaming that put me into a world outside of grief. A fantasy world, where I could be who ever I wanted to be, and do whatever my mind could imagine. It was dreaming that helped me to see into the future, and I would seek ways to make them come true. So early on, these six simple words became my mantra through difficult times, and slowly they became a part of my daily thinking. These simple words became the first simple poem that I could share with others.

Years later, I can see the incredible power that these six words had on my life! I learned early on in my professional career, that I am a big picture person (Dream Big), a visionary, and a "get it done" person. The “don't just talk about it, do something about it,” sort of person.
Life continued...and after almost 2 decades of experience in healthcare, wellness, fitness, rehab and education, I continue to enjoy helping my clients, no matter their age or ability, which is one of  my many strengths! I LOVE to empower clients to reach their dreams, and jump over hurdles in life. Educating them about the "why" of health and wellness, cheering them along and celebrating their successes! :) But, I have also grown, and realized that I had to add to my motto the words, "Play Outside." Play is fun. Outside is fun. Outside has incredible powers of radiating happiness and peace. And, there is much research to back this up. People who play outside, and are surrounded by green space are happier. This addition was natural. As a child, my two favorite places to be were in the woods and playing on the monkey bars. And still today, I find comfort and happiness in both.

I now use blogging (and my business, E3 Twin Ports) as a way to help inspire others to live happy, reach for their dreams, smile, and play outside! Mr. Olson, a teacher whom unfortunately I haven't kept in touch with, has been a huge inspiration in my personal and professional career. And no, I don't think he knows how he truly has helped me through life. As a teacher and wellness coach myself, I often think about how I may touch the lives of others. Maybe I won't know about the positive impact I inspire, but it is my wish, that every day that I engage with my students, clients, & strangers, that I may inspire them (even in a small way) to reach for their dreams!

Recently, I listened to a story about a woman connecting people of different backgrounds so they could capitalize on each others strengths, to do good in the world. She called herself an "Opportunity Maker." It was so inspiring. As fall comes to a close and a new season is just before us, I want you to reflect upon your personal and professional careers. Have you been an "Opportunity Maker?" Can you recall a teacher or mentor who had a positive impact on your life? Have you been able to touch the lives of others in a way that you may never realize? Each day, we have a new opportunity to become "Opportunity Makers" and inspire others to reach for their dreams. 

We all have the ability to touch the lives of others. May this changing of seasons, rejuvenate you all, so that you are all able to maximize your abilities to make a difference in the lives of others! 

As a high school student, my English teacher inspired me to step outside of my comfort zone and write poetry. He believed in me, and now I realize the impact of his encouragement. So now I ask you, Who can you inspire today?

I'm hoping to inspire those that attend my newest and latest class offerings for E3. There are 2 WOMEN's ONLY programs that registration closes for today and tomorrow, along with Yoga at the Fairlawn Mansion. And of course, Personal Wellness Coaching is always available (schedule sessions by emailing me, and we will find a time that works for both of us), along with E3's Free Fitness Friday's.

Looking into the future: I am working with the Lodge at Giant's Ridge on a Winter Women's Wellness Retreat for February...working with Continental Bike for Fat Bike Rentals, and a COGGS leader for Duluth specific riding tips to include in an Intermediate Fitness Level course for Women starting in January...working with a group of community leaders to offer a snowshoe class for beginners with a different weekly guest speaker, again women's only, starting in January...and working with a local Alternative Healer and Oil specialist on an "Enlightened Yoga" class that will include gentle yoga, meditation, chakra and oil education to happen at the downtown non-profit, Avalon, also to start in January.
